The earthquake that ruined thousands of houses and lives in Nepal and India, and shattered a historical monument in Nepal, is one incident no one forget. The scars of ‘April the 25th’ can never be erased. The strong earthquake at 7.9 also shook the climbers at the Everest Base Camp. Right after the earthquake, dangerous heaps of snow started to fall from the peak of the mountain. One of the climbers, Jost Kobusch from Germany shot an avalanche hitting the Everest Base Camp last Saturday. This less than 3-minute-long film is one of the scariest videos made during the sad incident that killed over 3200 people in Nepal.
Jost describes the video- “The ground was shaking from the earthquake and as soon as we saw people running we were running ourselves to save our lives.”
It was the deadliest disaster in the history of mountaineering on the world’s highest peak that lead to the death of 17 climbers with 67 injured at the base camp.
