Step 1: Open the “Services” app on your Windows 10 system. To do this, simply click on your search bar and type “services.msc”. Alternatively, you can also bring up the Run app and type “services.msc” in the box to bring up the Services App.

Step 2: Now, in the Services App, scroll down and search for the “Windows Update” service. Double click on it to bring up the Settings.

Step 3: Once the Windows Update settings window pops up,  in the “General” tab, go to the Service Type option, and from the drop-down options, select “Disabled.”

Step 4: Restart your computer for the changes to take effect and Windows Update will be disabled from your system.
