After the Uber rape case, Uber announced to make a comeback and this time it has declared to add two powerful safety features to their ride-hailing App. The first feature is the launch of a ‘panic- button’ with which the pasenger can notify Uber about any case of emergency. The other feature, SafetyNet allows the passenger to share their travel details along with location with 5 people. The two features will be accessible to the users effective Wednesday.
Looks like Uber wants to make an impacting comeback with safety as the most important feature of their cab services. Their also building a local team of people who will be in charge of responding to all of the panic-button signals.
