A Giant Panda fakes pregnancy to receive round-the-clock care!

If you meet anyone saying animals have no brains, please share this news with them. OK, let me tell you first about this unique signs exposed by an animal to get better treatment. Ai Hin, a giant Panda at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Center in Chengdu, in southwest China’s Sichuan province faked her pregnancy to get more buns, fruits and bamboos. This would have been the world’s first live broadcast of a panda birth which has been called off after experts revealed about the Phantom pregnancy.

I was so glad to know that animals can really cheat humans and make them realize that even they have the complete right to get free, have full stomach food and live in privacy whenever they feel like. Well, this smart 6 year old giant panda started showing signs of pregnancy including reduced appetite and mobility at that point she was selected to star in the heavily published world’s first live Panda birth. But surprisingly, after two months of examination, experts have told state news agency Xinhua that Ai Hin’s behavior and physiological tests returned to normal.

Wu Kongju, an expert at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Centre where Ai Hin is kept told Xinhua, “After showing prenatal signs, the ‘mothers-to-be’ are moved into single rooms with air conditioning and around-the-clock care,” Adding more to it Wu said “They also receive more buns, fruits and bamboo, so some clever pandas have used this to their advantage to improve their quality of life,”

Phantom pregnancy is said to be frequent among the endangered animals. Many continued to display pregnant behavior after noticing the difference in treatment they receive, Xinhua said.

Giant Panda’s natural habitat is the mountainous region of south-west China. Due to reduced habitat and improper food availability, there is high dip in reproductive rate of these endangered species.

I wish all animals can understand the example set by this beautiful Panda. A question should be raised in every human mind about the animal treatment which we impose on them. What do you say? I know it’s a good idea according to me as I am an animal lover. How smart this animal is, isn’t it?
