His appointment has lead to a major strike by the students in Pune based film training institute. Even the winner of the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee has supported the students. He said, “I don’t know who he is. Anyone who will occupy a responsible position should have good body of work. Does he have that? Who is he?” according to an NDTV report.
While the nation has been debating on his appointment, he made a quick appearance in the popular show ‘Daaru Pe Charcha’ (played by Dutto’s brother Tanu Weds Manu actor, Rajesh Sharma).
