To everyone who thought gender discrimination is not an issue, here’s something for you. Humans of Bombay shared this story of a gynecologist. She talked about an incident where a woman was ready to abandon her girl child just because she wanted to a boy.
When the authorities tried to counsel her, they got to know about a deeper problem – the woman’s family would blame her for giving birth to yet another baby girl. She already had 5 daughters.
