Saudi Arabian historian says US does not care if their women are raped; sexual violence is no big deal for them

In Saudi Arabia, women have been banned from driving their cars for men in their country think it is unsafe for them. When caught driving car alone, women get serious penalties to pay including lashing. When asked for more details on a TV show, the Saudi Arabian historian, Saleh al-Saadoon justifies the ban by saying,

Women who drive in other countries such as the United States don’t care if they’re raped and that sexual violence is no big deal to them.

Shocked with his response, the show’s host asked the historian, “Hold on. Who told you they don’t care about getting raped on the roadside?” Historian had THIS to say,

It’s no big deal for them beyond the damage to their morale. In our case, however, the problem is of a social and religious nature.

When the host said that her other two guests are stunned with what he had just said on the show, the historian said they are not in touch with their norms and that they should listen to him and agree too! Another disgusting thing that Saleh al-Saadoon said was,

There is a solution, but the government officials and the clerics refuse to hear of it,” he said. “The solution is to bring in female foreign chauffeurs to drive our wives.

This made the host laugh on her own show. *Facepalm

It is totally saddening to see how much women have to go through in Saudi Arabia and that at this point in our lives they are still fighting for their rights and freedom.
