Friends organize fake funeral for the friend who never leaves his girlfriend alone

Before getting into any relationship, friends spend most of their time together. But, when bae comes, things change a bit. For 20-year-old, Keiran Cable from South Wales, everything changed when he fell in love with 19-year-old Jess Ferguson. He was so head over heals for her that he started spending all his time with her. Keiran’s friends felt ignored and thought their friend was gone forever for Keiran did not get in touch with his friends in the course of his 18-months-old (and still running) relationship with Jess.

Unlike other girlfriends, Jess had made it clear that she didn’t mind Keiran going out to meet his friends. She had told him he was free to have a good time with his friends but Keiran is his own enemy, he did not want to stay away from Jess and made sure they were always together.

After being ignored for almost 18 months, Keiran’s friends decided to surprise him with a mock funeral. This included a coffin, hearse, and even a eulogy!

50 of his friends decided to give him a mock when in a pub, every started saying RIP Keiran as they all missed him.

“Keiran has had a tough 18 months trying to keep his friendship with his friends alive but sadly the wait is now over and he has floated up to the gates of heaven,” the eulogy reads in part.”What hurts the most is that we were starved of precious time to say our last goodbyes after his relationship status was changed from ‘Single’ to ‘in a Relationship.’”

“Keiran had been in a relationship for a few months and it felt like he had died because none of us had seen him since then,” said Keiran’s friend Ben Sullivan.

“We decided if he wasn’t going to come out with us and was going to pretend he was dead then we’d organise a funeral for him”

“One of the boys, Shaun Bundy, organised most of it and he spent Friday and Saturday making the coffin”

“[Keiran] had no idea what was going on. He thought he was coming out to watch the rugby but he” ended up in a coffin

“I borrowed a funeral car and we drove the coffin from pub to pub”

They even sang hymns and created a program in loving memory of their “dead” friend. “Another one of the boys, Daniel Bundock, was the vicar, and gave speeches from the Old Testament”

The roads were completely closed off. When Keiran was asked to share his reaction, he said, “I was in complete shock and didn’t know what to do or say”.
