The South Korea-based company today said that they will be using the feedback from this test to make the game available worldwide soon.

The alpha test will only be available in the USA for now and will only be available for Android users. Players can pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store to get notified when it is released. For iOS users, the company said, pre-registrations will begin shortly. Krafton also mentioned that the players pre-registering for the game will also get a permanent vehicle skin upon its release.

The storyline of the game is set in the year 2051, well after the events of the initial PUBG. The game will be played on a new map, Troi. It is similar to Erangel in size, 8×8 km. and like other battle royale games, it would also have 100 players drop onto an island, with the last player alive standing victorious. Since the game is set in the year 2051, players can expect futuristic components in the game like robots, ballistic safeguards, vehicles, and that’s just the beginning.

While an exact date of release has not been mentioned, the developers say that the game will be releasing later this year.
