The world of E-commerce was revolutionized when the CoD (Cash On Delivery) came into existence. Here’s something which is surely going to brighten up your day!
This is happening for the first time – IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) is going to offer CoD for railway tickets bought online. Now this is surely going to make a lot of positive changes in the system and will act as a boon for a lot of people who travel regularly.
As of now, the scheme has been launched on pilot basis. The service shall be available in more than 200 cities, initially. To use this service, the tickets will have to be booked 5 days prior to the journey.
BookMyTrain.com has been authorized for providing this CoD service. Rs. 40 per sleeper class ticket and Rs. 60 per AC class ticket will be charged in addition to the ticket prices as the delivery charges.
