Abhijeet Bhattacharya is known for staying in controversies ever since his infamous tweets about the Salman Khan’s verdict for his 2002 hit and run case. This time again, he has managed to get himself into some serious trouble.
The Times of India reported that a woman has accused Bhattacharya of abusing and molesting her following which an FIR was slapped against him late Thursday night at the Oshiwara police station. The incident happened at the Lokhandwala Durga Puja pandal of which Abhijeet was one of the organisers. The victim had come there to watch singer Kailash Kher’s performance.
What happened was that due to an overcrowd, she had to leave her seat to watch the show. It was then when she felt Abhijeet touching her inappropriately. After she vociferously objected to his misconduct and asked to be taken to the officials to complaint, the singer threatened her of ‘consequences’.
For now, an FIR has been lodged against Abhijeet under Section 354 A (Molestation) 506 & 34 of the IPC.
Earlier as well Abhijeet has been in controversy for saying things like, “Indian media has become Pakistani media” and “Ghulam Ali is a ‘dengue artist’ from ‘terrorist country’“.
