Rajnikanth, the superstar who’s going to turn 65 on 12th December, has called off his birthday celebrations and has decided to donate money to help the victims of Chennai floods.
Other celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Siddharth, RJ Balaji, R Madhavan, Dhanush, Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu have also come forward to support the flood victims.
The Times of India reported that Chennai has been deluged with heavy rainfall since December 2. The MET department has said that the city hasn’t received such a heavy downpour in the past 100 years.
Rajinikanth is being criticised by everyone for donating a meager sum of Rs 10 lakh to help the rain affected victims of Chennai and Tamil Nadu. The reason is that Rajinikanth, who will turn 65 on December 12, has called off his birthday celebrations and donated the same money to flood victims. He met Chief Minister, Jayalalitha, and gave her a cheque of Rs 10 crore towards the CM Relief fund to help people who were severely affected by the Chennai floods.
