OnePlus is just a few days away from launching its second-generation Nord mid-range smartphone in the market, dubbed OnePlus Nord 2 5G. Ahead of the 22nd July launch event, the company has now shared a teaser on social media, revealing the design of the upcoming smartphone.
It corroborates rumors about the design of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G smartphone being similar to the OnePlus 9. The image showcases the phone’s back panel which has a rectangular camera module in the top-left corner and houses three camera sensors along with an LED flash.
As per the reports, the primary camera sensor will be 50MP and the device will also include an 8MP ultra-wide snapper as well as a 2MP monochrome sensor. On the front side, the device will likely feature a 32MP snapper, taking care of your selfie and video calling needs.
The company has already confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chipset. It will offer 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage but rumors also suggest a top-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. To know for sure, we will have to wait for the official announcement.
The smartphone will come powered by a 4,500mAh battery and carry support for the company’s own Warp Charge 65 fast charging technology. In terms of software, it will be running the OxyenOS based on the Android 11 operating system. Since the company has merged the codebase of OxygenOS with OPPO’s ColorOS, it will be interesting to see what the company has in store when it comes to the software-based user experience.
