Only all men can attend the Women’s Rights Conference in Saudi Arabia

Let’s admit strange things happen. And it is not any stranger to see “no women” attending the biggest women’s rights conference organised by the University of Qassim, Saudi Arabia. The first conference was held in the year, 2012.

Related to the topic ‘Women in Society’, the annual conference was supposed to help make the current situation of women better in the region. 15 countries participated in the conference with many delegates and speakers however not a single woman attended the conference.

When this year the conference was held only two women were cited to be present. Needless to state the fact, Saudi Arabia is ranked 127th out of 136 countries for gender parity.
