Held every 3rd year, the largest peaceful gathering, Kumbh Mela sees around 100 million attendees every time it is held at one of the four locations. From sadhus, to sants, to babas, to ordinary devotees, all come in packs to attend the mass occasion. The sadhus and babas are mostly spotted smoking marijuana freely. For them, no laws or police rules exist. Why? Popular YouTube channel, Wtf India has shared an interesting trailer of an incredibly beautiful documentary made in the Kumbh Mela.
“In The Name Of My God, documentary is about the sadhus and babas who smoke ganja, in the public when it’s illegal in India.”
The makers want to ask these sadhus and babas ‘why these people are allowed to do an illegal thing which others (including him) can’t do?’.
