Google recently unveiled its Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro premium smartphones which are set to be available for purchase this fall. However, before we get our hands on these next-generation Pixel series phones, the company is gearing up to launch a new budget device.
The company will reportedly launch its Pixel 5a budget smartphone on 26th August. The report also claims that the device could be priced at around $450. The Pixel phones with the “A” suffix are usually targeted at mass audiences as they are priced in the budget to mid-range segment.
As for the availability, it is being reported that the phone may launch only in the US and Japan. It is not yet known if Google has plans for launching a non-5G model of the Pixel 5a.
As for the specifications, the smartphone is expected to feature a 6.4-inch display and could come in Mostly Black color. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC along with 6GB of RAM.
It will have a 3.5mm headphone jack and be powered by a 4,650mAh battery without wireless charging support. To know for sure, we will have to wait for the official launch.
